AgXML

AgXML is an industry initiative, aimed at bringing e-commerce efficiencies to the grain and oilseed trade. A coalition of major agribusiness, technology, and transportation companies (including ADM, Cargill, Bunge, Monsanto (Bayer), and the National Grain and Feed Association) worked to identify key business processes — contracts, shipments, certifications — and define common XML schemas so trading partners could exchange documents like Bills of Lading, Contracts, Quality Certificates, and Settlements electronically rather than manually.
