Implementation: Harvesting our Hard Work

In fact, I was talking to our EVP and resident farmer Jeremy Wilson at the beginning of September, and he was in the combine this year earlier than he could ever remember. It’s a little reminder that while we plan and prepare and put in the effort to produce a crop or product or service, sometimes the end result arrives earlier – or later – than we expect. Read more >

Portfolio Update

Persistence and Progress

When it comes to the methodical, detail-focused work we do through the working group process at AgGateway, the headline news is more often about the solid progress each working group is making towards their common goals. And that’s the theme of this month’s portfolio update: persistence.

While there are no big announcements of completed work right now, several teams are continuing to make incremental process toward a wrap-up at the annual meeting in November. Also following the round table discussions at the mid-year meeting we are getting ready to kick off several new projects. AEF Plugfest Sets Participation Records

The Agricultural industry Electronics Foundation hosted its European Plugfest last month in Bologna, Italy, and set records for the most devices tested and overall attendance.

The purpose of the event is for agricultural equipment manufacturers, technology producers, and software providers to come together and directly test the compatibility of their systems and products based on the ISO 11783 standard and AEF’s implementation guidelines and conformance tests. AEF holds a similar event in North America in the first quarter of the year. Read more >
