Key Long-Term Topics in Focus

By Brent Kemp, President and CEO

I invested in bifocal glasses in February. Aside from the reminder of years passing and eyes wearing out, the purchase prompted reflection on vision – specifically, organizational vision.

AgGateway was founded over 20 years ago by individuals and organizations with a vision of how connectivity and efficiency lead to more profitable business. Our volunteers presented at conferences on the dollars and time saved by implementing agreed-upon, standardized business messages. Volunteers identified the need for improved documentation and exchange of field operations records. So, we partnered with peers and hosted international collaborative efforts to ensure the work done in AgGateway is compatible with those other data exchange processes. Read more >

Inside Agenda Changes for Mid-Year Meeting

By Jeremy Wilson, EVP/COO and North American Director

It's hard to believe we're already at the point of finalizing plans for the 2026 North America Mid-Year Meeting, but that's where we're at today.

This year the snowy cold Corn Belt winter is thwarting those wistful glances we usually take over the time horizon in early February. The new growing season is only a scant couple months away, but it’s hard to see through the snow glare and blistering cold. Read more >

By Jeremy Wilson, EVP/COO and North American Director

As I’m sure you are aware, a couple of years ago we made the decision to invest in a process that would allow AgGateway to convert the ADAPT toolkit from a module imbedded into software platforms to read/write various file formats via licensed plugins, to a full-blown standard for exchanging field operations data. By Paul Schrimpf, Director of Marketing and Communications

AgGateway’s work toward standardizing laboratory analysis of soil data after assuming stewardship of the Modus standard by releasing the v2 method codes and current work on the Version 2 schema is important, but only one aspect of overall industry work to understand and improve nutrient use and soil health. AgGateway’s Collaborative Role Highlighted at Regional Seminar

By Brent Kemp, AgGateway President and CEO

I was privileged to attend both the December Europe Steering Committee meeting and the AgGateway Europe Year-End Seminar, hosted by AgroEDI Europe at their Paris offices.

The volunteer leaders on the steering committee laid out their priorities for regional work in the coming year. They identified an important role for AgGateway in bringing together existing national standards groups and stakeholders together to help them understand the state of resources and implementation across Europe.
