AgGateway was founded two decades ago on a simple principle: When data flows seamlessly between systems and equipment in a consistent and well-defined format, the agriculture industry can thrive. Innovation development and adoption will boom and efficiency will soar when the entire value chain becomes connected and compatible through standardized data and messages.

AgGateway is a global non-profit organization comprised of more than 200 member stakeholders from across the agriculture value chain. Our staff works with members to identify and bring industry interoperability challenges to the organization and actively work toward creating and implementing data-based solutions through AgGateway’s Working Group process. Many resources are publicly and freely available under well-established open source licenses.

AgGateway provides an essential element – a safe and non-competitive environment in which otherwise fierce competitors can work collaboratively toward solutions. We foster trust that enables industry to work towards common outcomes. And we ensure that every member can have a voice in the process, regardless of size.

This website is designed to provide an overview of the organization and the work we do. Many of the pages are linked to information in our Wiki, which is regularly updated as projects are added or advanced.

We also host two in-person meetings in June and November for networking and learning – details are in the Events tab. Finally, our monthly newsletter provides insight on key connectivity issues and ongoing work at the organization.
