By José Alexandre Loyola, Regional Director
On March 24th, AgGateway Latin America hosted its first in-person member meeting of the year at CNH headquarters in Sorocaba/SP. We welcomed 12 member attendees and engaged in a full program of education and networking. Not surprisingly, the hot topic of the day was a discussion of impacts of the Middle East war on Brazilian and global agriculture, along with other market trends affecting the region.
We also discussed and reflected on CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and CX (Customer Experience), and gained some insight into the Embrapa project/initiative in partnership with MAPA (Ministry of Agriculture and Supply) and JICA (Japanese entity). This initiative aims to create a consortium of companies for the standardization of APIs for agricultural machinery. The program concluded with a visit to the CNH Distribution Center, which covers 60,000 square meters (approx. 645,000 square feet).
On the membership front, another Embrapa unit has joined AgGateway. In addition to Embrapa Digital Agriculture, Embrapa Soils, and Embrapa Territorial, Embrapa Instrumental, based in São Carlos, confirmed its membership. This unit will be contributing to the discussions and projects for data interoperability and standardization in the region, alongside the other three units.
